Born with the ability to wriggle free of anyone's grasp thanks to his natural affinity for sliding, young Sam Winthrow devoted himself to a life of crime. Creating a costume complete with slime-shooters to aid him in sliding, Sam took on the name of Slippery Sam and set out on a crime-spree.
For months Sam's criminal activities ran unchecked until he encountered J2 at the Gateway Mall. J2 eventually managed to defeat Sam by cracking the ground beneath his feet, making it impossible for him to slide.
